WIRING HELP! 3-way coil split to series/parallel switch???

Hey Everyone,
I need help figuring out how to wire these switches together. I have a 59/custom hybrid humbucker that I want to have a 3 way coil split for (north, both, south) since the two coils are different types of coils. I also want to run it to a series/parallel two way switch in the push/pull pot. I know how to do the wiring for each separately....but how do you run it in sequence?

All the diagrams I have for the 3 way has a ground out, and a hot out, but the series/parallel needs more than one lead coming to it. I know it can be done....so how is it done?

It's easy...with 1 Triple Shot mounting ring.

Yes, it is an easy and elegant way to do this.

Are you saying your Tele only has a 59/Custom and no other pickups? So it’s really an Esquire with a single Humbucker? If so...

My ROUGH GUESS would be something like:

Push pull
1L - 1R (up)
2L - 2R
3L - 3R (down)

Wire red to 2L. Wire white to 2R.
Wire 1L to output jack ground. Wire 1R to output jack hot. (Up will be parallel coils). Bridge 3L and 3R together. (Down is series coils).

Use only one side of the 3-way blade switch.

Wire 3L/3R to C
Wire pickup black to 1, and connect 1 to hot output jack.
Wire pickup green to 3, and connect 3 to output jack ground.
Wire pickup bare straight to output jack ground, do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars.

Good luck. I would try it with alligator clip wires first to make sure it works before attempting to heat up the solder iron. I’m not 100% sure what I wrote has no issues, eg certain switch positions may not work as expected.

...but if you have two pickups and still want to use them both, it won’t be possible anyway.

Re: WIRING HELP! 3-way coil split to series/parallel switch???

Beau, no that doesn't work. As long as the p/p is down you can get 1=slug, 2=series, 3=screw. That's all fine and dandy. But if the p/p is up you will always have black + white going to the jack hot, and red and green going to ground...so the screw coil is shorted out to hot and the slug coil is grounded out. Therefore no coil is active and there will be no sound.

However, if you connect white wire to 2L and red wire to 2R you will get parallel when p/p is up and in any switch position. When the p/p is down you'll still get 1=slug, 2=series, 3=screw.

It's actually a fully custom build I did from an old Peavey I got. Has a mini humbucker in the neck, and the 59 hybrid in the bridge.
