I have a build that has HH 2V/2T and I am using a oakgrigsby 5 way super switch any help at all would be appreciated. This build already has all cavities routed and is not able to use a togle switch.

Re: wiring help needed

Sure. Here you go. Don't forget to ground the switch too. You can use one of the lugs on the side that isn't being used.

Re: wiring help needed

In order to make the outside coils hum cancelling, wouldn't you have to flip a magnet?

Re: wiring help needed

I think if you did that it would go from example 7 on the chart to 6 instead of 5.

Re: wiring help needed

To get hum cancelling from the splits, it would have to be either both top coils or both bottom coils.

Thanks to both of you I will give that a try. I'll set up a test board and let you know how it came out.

Yeah, I would think that to get hum cancelling, one would have to flip a magnet and make it rw/rp. I just remembered that's what I did (it was awhile ago).

Re: wiring help needed

So turning around the neck pickup would put the slug and north on the outside with the screw and south of the bridge. And the full humbuckers would remain in phase with each other because wind and polarity are being flipped at once. So then you'd have to switch the wiring to split to the slug coil on the neck. Hmm. I sometimes forget that these same issues have usually been covered in the forum years back.
