Hi guys.
I could sure use some help. I have a pair of 4 wire Dimarzio's that I would like to use for my first project guitar. Nothing fancy for the wiring setup, just 3 positions..neck, both, bridge. 1 volume and 1 tone pot. I'm pretty sure that the red wire is the same as the black on a Duncan and the rest are the same so I've been looking at a bunch of diagrams here and on the Ibanez site but I can't get it right. The problem is I'm not sure how to hook up the selector switch.
It's a 3 way knife switch. The disk underneath it has 4 connectors on each side. I'll number them 1, 2, 3, 4 across the top and 5, 6, 7, 8 along the bottom. The 3 positions on the switch contact connectors 1&6, 2&7, 3&8. I think I have everything else right but I won't know for sure until teh switch is right.
If I can get this right there'll be a shiny new pair of Duncans going in my Schecter but for now I'll pracitce on my old beater.
Any help would be appreciated.
