I just tried rewiring my guitar, and it's not working correctly. The main issue is that the pickups still output sound when the toggle switches are in the off position. The tone also isn't working very well, and the humbuckers have lost a bit of their chunkiness. If anyone could show me what is wrong with the wiring I'd really appreciate it
Notice how on the tone control how the wires for the hot lead all seem to be going to the lug with the capacitor. That's the only thing that looks wrong. always put the hot lead wires from the common on the on/on toggle switch in the center position of the tone control
is the green mini toggle on/on the same one as near the pickup
also avoid treble bleeds. If you're after a smooth 10 to 0 rolling down on the volume treble bleeds provide it's a better option to go with a linear (B250k or B500k) pot instead. One youtuber dylan pickups spoke about why he hates treble bleeds in a lot of detail.
also try this way of doing parallel as this is the one i swear by in all my projects i do and I've probably re-wired about 100 guitars easily
