I just put in two new pickups. It's an H-S-H configuration, and the H's are coil split.
So I wired in a new S and a new bridge H. They both sound great, but position 4 (S and bridge H) sounds like it's barely there. Thin and weak.
Any ideas? I haven't run into this problem before. Does it have something to do with polarity/reverse winding? The S is a regular wound, but I would think if that were a problem, position 2 would have a problem, too. But it sounds fine.
