For the past 2 weeks i've been having problems with the wiring configuration in my guitar. I havn't touched anything yet the few wires that have either came loose or broken.
Today, the over all volume of my guitar was lacking. I have my volume knob at 10 on my amp and I could barely hear it. I tested the amp with a friends guitar and everything worked fine, so it all came down to my guitar.
I redid the whole harness following this http://www.seymourduncan.com/support..._1v_1t_3w.html schematic and the volume was somewhat back to normal, but even with the ground wire soldered onto the tone knob, every piece of metal, from the bridge, to neck, to even tuners was not grounded. I figured I must have done somthing wrong, so I checked over everything over and over, and the problem was not fixed. Now, nothing works. everything is hooked up as it was and not even the slightest sound is produced. My cables are fine, effect pedals are fine, amp is fine, and the pickups are fine, but nothing works.
Pretty much, it has either boiled down to somthing in that wiring schematic is wrong, my 3-way toggle is bad, both 500k knobs for tone and volume are bad, the jack is bad, or all of the above.
This whole thing has just got me really frustrated. I don't have the funds to buy a new guitar, and wont for a long time. I can hardly even afford to buy new knobs, toggles, and jack, but will if I need to.
I just need some input and advice on this. I'm sure someone here knows what I can do to fix it
