Wiring Question 3 pos switch

(2) Humbuckers, 1 vol, 1 tone, 3 pos. tele style switch (8 contacts in a row 00000000 :smack: ) 2-500K pots, 1- Orange Drop .022. 1st is this the right combo of parts. :duh: 2nd I downloaded the SD wiring page for the 2 HUM,1 VOL, 1 TONE 3-WAY SWITCH. What I don't understand is how to wire this using this 3 way tele stlye switch and have it match up with the 3-way toggle style application. Can anyone help? Thanks

More Info: I am installing a SH-2 and SH-4 in my Godin LG and going for the LP Style configeration

Hey madog; Welcome to the forum.

Does your switch actually have only 3 positions, and not 5?

I have a Tele-clone with a switch like that, but its a 5-way.
In the mean time, I'll see what I can come up with. I'm pretty sure I know how that works, but I just want to make sure.

It'll probably be tomorrow, I was just heading to bed. ;)

Welcome to the forum.

Look at the schematic for standard tele wiring. It should work for what you want. All you have to do is to put your humbuckers in series and put the green and braid to ground and black to switch.

I think that madog is saying that his switch has 8 terminals in a row, like this:

Or similar. Madog, is that what you're switch looks like? (Even though thats a 5-way pic.)

ArtieToo. That is exactly the switch. And after carefully looking at the pics I would say I see no phyisical difference in your pic and the 3-way Im holding in my hand. Your opinion please.

Yes thanks ArtieToo. That is the exact switch I have. I see no difference in your pics and my 3-way.

I'll post a diagram on how to wire it as soon as I get home.
