Wiring question. Using an on/on/on instead of on/off/on

Guys, I have a guitar here that needs a coil split toggle, but it has to be a large toggle. The only large 3 way in gold I could find is an on on on toggle but I need, according to wiring wisdom, an on off on.

Simply put, I want to toggle between left coil, right coil and series.

The switch has 4 poles, 3 positions...

Who can help me out?

P.s. It's a fluence classic. So I want this

Position 1: H+CT
Position 2: H and CT connected to norhing
Position 3: CT + ground

Try this... assuming that your switch works like I’m thinking. If it’s innards are different, just let me know and I’ll come up with another way.

Re: Wiring question. Using an on/on/on instead of on/off/on

Thank you for your aid. However, I'm working with fluence pickups so I don't have the usual wires out of this pickup (fluence pickups split differently than normal pickups).

I only have 3 wires to work with: H, CT and ground.

These are the connections I need to be making.

Position 1: H+CT (North coil)
Position 2: H and CT connected to nothing (series setting)
Position 3: CT + ground (south coil)

The hot wire that leads the output to the switch is totally separate from these wires. Those are the only connections I gotta make :)

Ah... sorry! I didn’t read closely enough!

I should still be able to come up with something though, but I’m not sure what your meaning by “H” and “CT.”

As I’m sure you’re aware, a typical 3-wire splittable humbucker would have a hot, split, and ground wire and you’d attach the split to hot or to ground to choose the coil. However, based on the switch connections you’re asking for, that must not be how these work. I went to the Fishman site and I still couldn’t figure out to which connections you were referring (of course I just woke up too [emoji12]). Help me understand and I’ll get your switch to work for ya!

By the way, did I at LEAST get the right kind of switch?

I do believe the switch is correct, Haha.

Maybe this helps?

But I need this redrawn for an on on on, cause that's what I have, instead of their on off on. (preferably for 2 pickups under 1 switch).

Thanks for helping me out!!

Question: Are you splitting one pickup or two with this switch?

Never mind... I just did it for two pickups. If you only want to use one, just use half of the switch! [emoji12]

Man, you rock!! It's so easy, it's embarrassing. Thank you anyway. If there is any way I can return the favor, please let me know! :D

Ahhh. So good to see brotherly love.

Actually, both of you guys rock!

OK, tonal update.

I wired it up and it works just fine, thanks once more. Helas, the tones suck haha. One coil sounds GREAT, the other is really useless. So, sorry... I pulled out the 3 way and installed a 2 way instead. why have a tonal option when it is absolutely useless?

Well… I guess sometimes you just don’t know until you try! [emoji2960][emoji2]
