Wiring question

On this site there's a wiring diagram: 2 humbuckers, 2 push-pull, a 3-way switch. The push-pulls sets each bucker series/parallel.
When using middle position, will both buckers be in series or parallel with each other? Is there a way to, when middle position is chosen, to disregard whatever push-pulls are set to, and always in middle have the inner coils of each pup in series with eachother? Maybe i need a more advanced 3-way to do this?

Re: Wiring question

Sorry, I'm at work, my post was sent by cellphone, couldn't paste & copy links or pics.
But now I'm at a computer. The diagram looks like this:

Are there other kind of 3-way switches that can do what I think about? I have also been considering a rotary, but they're so **** ugly in a shredder guitar.. :)

I have the Artie's coil swap mod in another guitar, but that was split, but I'll check it out again, maybe I'll find something...

Re: Wiring question

Another question: Is there any reason to choose one coil from each HB, compared to, for example, put the bridge HB in parallel. Of course it will sound different, Im thinking more of other reasons, like coils in parallel sound better if there is some distance between them?

Re: Wiring question

You usually get different coils from two humbuckers when you are looking to achieve a hum cancelling combo. If you choose same coil in two humbuckers you will have hum.

So if I want to have hum-canceling I need to use the slugcoil in HB1 together with the other coil in HB2. Got it.
OK, I'll try to find some info on other types of 3-way switches that'll do what I want...
Thanks!

Re: Wiring question

Yeah, I thought about this kind of miniswitch as a pickup selector... But if it's too much hazzle I might just make it simple and use the 2 pushpulls for series/parallel on each bucker.

Another question: In the 3-ways middle position in the schematic above, will the bridge and neck be in series or parallel? I guess series, isn't that how an LP is hooked up?
If so, when one or both hb is parallel, will I experience any weird behaviour? Guess not, but thought I'd ask... ;)
So I should anyway have humcanceling all the time, even though there will be some significant changes in volume and that kind of thing...
