Wiring Sh-4 and Sh-1n to 5 way import switch help!?

Hi all,

I have recently done some nice mods to my strat.

I have bought and installed into pickguard the SH-4 (bridge)and SH-1N (neck) pickups.

Now onto wiring, but i cant see any diagram on the site to wire the two humbuckers into a 5 way switch... and the switch I have is a straight 'inline' one, as are most of the ones i see on eBay (UK)... not sure how i would wire this up, could really do with some help here... super excited to get this running!

If i cant use th 5 way, could someone suggest if this is ok?

Welcome to the forum.

The five-position lever sector switch is unsuitable.

For straightforward neck/both/bridge pickup selection, you require a three-position switch.

For fancy, five selection circuits, you will need a so-called Superswitch with at least twelve contacts. Some variants have twenty four contacts. Schaller makes some proprietary five-way PCB switches with their own special circuit possibilities.
