Wiring strat for series or parallel

I want to mod my strat for series or parallel wiring. I have seen one wiring scheme for this but when you switch from series to parallel the pickups that were turned off turn on and the ones that were on turn off(hopes that makes sense?). Is there a better way to do this so that when I switch the same pickups remain on?

This might help. This is how I do my series-parallel connections. Its a bit more wiring, but solves the problem you're having. You have the two outputs of whatever pups you're using, and connect them to your switch in the normal fashion. Now, when you go to series mode, it doesn't matter where the 3-way/5-way was at. The series connection goes out both wires, then reverts to normal when you go back to parallel.
