Hi, I'm changing the Seth Lovers in my Knaggs Kenai for one of these sets. Can you please explain me the pros and cons of each set? I play mainly rock

Re: WLH or PG?

They are both excellent choices for that type of guitar!!! I currently run a WLH set in my LP and love it! Covers alot of ground and sound amazing! Both neck and bridge sound great and they blend very well too. And sound good split. They definately get the british classic rock sound, but are capable of more as well.
Ive used PG also, but mostly in the neck and honestly it has been awhile, so Ill refrain from trying to give you too much a "review" as details are fuzzy.. Ill only say that the neck PG is also quite good and goes from clean to singing leads and does much more than just a zztop type of sound.

What are you running for an amp?

I just came from practice and used a guitar with a PG set to play 80's metal.

WLH and Pearly Gates are both very good sets with similar output levels.

Difference is in voicing and feel.

Due to the Alnico II magnets, Pearly Gates is saggy in feel, with a sharp top end spike in the bridge. WLH, with its Alnico V magnets, is stiffer in feel (not as stiff as ceramic, though), and more even in EQ.

I personally prefer Pearly Gates for what I do (blues, classic rock, etc.) but would recommend WLH if versatility is important. If I were to play "rock", no adjectives before it, where that could mean anything from Elvis to EVH, WLH would do the job.

^ this is a good description. The PGs are chewier. The WLH are tighter.
