Wolfie Trouble?

Hey guys..

On my wolfgang there a strange ringing when i play the open B string...It doent seem to happen on any fretted noye and while playing the open B it doesnt seem to bit vibrating against and frets..
Sound is hard to describe, it sounds like fret buzz but only on the open string..

Can anyone help..?

could be something to do with the nut or first fret maybe?

im sure the resident luthiers will know im just assuming.

yeh thats what i thought too...it doesnt seem to be vibrating off any of the frets and only when played openn...

Sounds like sympathetic vibration from the trem springs.

Also, if the exit point of the string from the nut isn't right you will get a sitar like affect.

Finally, if its a hardtail you could have a rattle in the bridge. I had that issue with my wolf.

I see.. how do i do that.. i just took off the E B string lock and that sound virtually went away, only happened if i pickd it hard, soon as i put it back on it came back..

My damn Ibanez did this one time and it was a bad string. Go figure! :smack:
