One of the best deals out there. I have owned 2 and they are both among the best playing and sounding guitars I have ever come across. The necks are spectacular!

yeah, i'm stoked .. and getting it for low$ leaves plenty of cash for upgrades

i've been reading how fender is using 'cease and desist' letters (and having ebay do the same) to crack down on anyone selling new or used instruments that infringe on the copyrights held by fender .. so no more listings with the words tele or '52reissue or even items with a copyright infringment shape of body or headstock ... no telling how far this could reach so i decided to jump on one now

Those are fine looking instruments. Tokai really builds some nice stuff...I wish I could have worked out getting Normans Tokai Love Rock. Enjoy that new Tele.

the seller told me (and i am pretty sure i already knew) that it has the small vintage frets ... in a perfect world, i'd like medium, or even medium jumbo ... but at the price and with nothing better having turned up in the months i've been looking, i decided to go for close enough ... if i absolutely cannot play on the small frets, i could always sell it and keep looking

thanks mrfjones .. yeah, the callaham is going to be high on the list if swapping out the saddles (~$20) from steel to (compensated) brass doesnt do the trick ... i am thinking Duncan vintage stacks for tele (lead and rhythm) if the hum is outrageous ... or maybe a set of bill lawrence tele pups ... bardens are too expensive these days and kinmans are both too expensive and have insane lead time .. i've actually gotten good feedback about dimarzio virtual vintage 2.2 also ... so we'll see

Nice colour!

I'm a big fan of Tokais think they are fantastic value for money.

check out the www.tokaiforum.com they are a really friendly bunch and what they don't know about Tokais new and old isn't worth knowing.

Aaah nice catch dude!! These are fabulous!

My good friend has a '52 Tele (Fender RI) with that 1-piece ash body.. very nice and resonant guitar!! Have fun!
