Woo Hoo! Successful saddle surgery!

I recently messed up my saddle trying to lower it. I glued a piece of ebony to it to get me by.

Today I got a care package from "Custom Guitar Saddles". I ordered 2 thinking I would foul the 1st up.

1st shot, which took about 2.5 hours (I was being really careful), I got a .098" ish on the low E and .070" on the high E, with the truss rod set to .006" relief measured with an 8X magnifier and feeler gauge. Its settling in right now so maybe another tweak on the rod will be needed.

All's well that ends well - I ended up with a saddle that actually fit my slot tightly, had to trim the ends a just a bit. Looks like a better looking saddle than the one I got from the repair guy.
