This is my Byrd Super Avianti. It was built by James Byrd of Fifth Angel fame. It was my first truly great guitar. I bought it when I was 20, and it stays with me until I die. I think James' idea was to make a strat that would use physics to sound better than the real deal. How rigorous he was with this I cannot judge, but the finished instrument sounds awesome. I'd get another one, now that I can afford it, but whilst the website is still up, I don't think James has made them for a long time.
