i have 3 bridge pups ... an sh-5 custom. sh-4 jb and dimarzio paf pro and im wondering what two would work the best together . Im not sure what type of wood my guitar is caz the salesman told me it was alder but ive read an online review about it and the guy said it was mahogany. It looks like a les paul jr body. Anyways, i htink its alder caz its really light. It also has 500k pots ... So, any opinions about what to i can combine and where for the best sound ? i play heavy rock/alternatve/grunge

Put either the JB or Sh5 custom in the bridge, and the PAF PRO in the neck has a nice tubular kind of slash sound, which is great under gain and good with cleans.
You could put the JB in the neck and split it would sound good (ive heard many people say they like it split in the neck) but it may have to much mids for that spot. is more suited to the bridge
SH5 in the neck is a no no i dont think it would work. Much better in the bridge.
PAF PRo in the bridge is great just enough mids for a creamy sort of sound and farily transparent and dynamic (one of my fav bridge pups) if u dont require to much output have to let your amp handle the volume and the gain. But its great in both positions i reckon the best pup dimarzio makes.
So eitha PAF PRO neck SH5 bridge

Some guys on this board (Zerberus!?) use custom bridge and JB neck, but you have to set the JB very low, so that it doesn't overpower the Custom. I played this combo in my axe too and liked it but i like the JB more for bridge thru my rig so the JB got in bridge for me.
Best to check out this combo and the two Dill mentioned! I've never played a PAF Pro.
