Would a Trembucker fit inside a normal mounting ring?

I don't know if mounting ring is the right word.. the black thing round a humbucker that you can ajust its height with?

The regular spaced pup is already a tight fit as it is

thanks :)

Sometimes...not always. The cloth tape might snag when you adjust the pickup. They're usually very tight in a standard mounting ring. Lew

I had to file my ring a bit when installing my CC in my Carvin. It fits very well now.

You may have to either sand out the inside of the pickup ring a bit, or remove the cloth and replace it with very tightly wrapped electrical tape, so it makes the pickup a little smaller. Wait a minute! I thought Tremspaced Duncans came with their own black pickup ring in the original box. I wonder if those come in cream too, from Duncan?

The thing about the mounting ring Duncan supplies with the Trembuckers is that they don't match the look of any standard ring. They have kind of a matte finish to them.
I usually modify a standard ring to fit the Trembucker.

While you're at it, you may even have to sand the pickup cavity a bit to make the pickup itself fit. I had to do that in order to get nickel covered pickups to fit in the pickup cavities of my Hamer. If the cavities are tight as it is, a trembucker may not fit without some minor sanding.
