Would There Be A Problem 12AT7 Driver Tube In A Fender Super Champ X2?

I am hoping someone knows if I replace the 12AX7 driver tube for a 12AT7 in my SCX2 without damage? Will the power transformer hold up? Thanks.

Should be no problem. 12AT7s and 12AX7s are often swapped back and forth as PIs in tube amps. 12AT7s give more headroom to a tube power amp, while 12AX7s give a bit more drive. Basically 12AX7s for Tweeds and Marshalls, and 12AT7s for Blackfaces historically.
