I think its kinda rediculous how much hype this thing is getting actually! This amp wasn't Hendrix's equivalent to EVH's beat up old Plexi that he used to record virtually all of the Roth era Van Halen. I mean Hendrix had tons of Marshall's that he toured with at some point or another. This head is not even "the one" he used for a tour. Hendrix had multiple heads and cabs on stage all daisy chained together and probably got new ones for each tour if i remember correctly, as many artists did and still do. True it was used by Hendrix, which is reason for it to be special, but its likely just an average sounding 60's Super Lead, not "the one that will nail the Hendrix sound", which Marshall is probably going to reissue it and advertise being just that. Besides, in the studio i believe he didnt even use Marshalls, he used Fender combos if im not mistaken.

alot of the first album was marshalls, and theres a good chance that could have been one of them i guess...... but otherwise, he used a little bit of everything in the studio
