Until I saw this:

Sure, $700 is a bit expensive for a MII guitar, but I mean, graphite reinforced neck through, unpainted neck (big plus if they did a satin or oil finish on it), better than average pickups (not my choice, but at least they can be sold at an ok price) and the only pointy shape I can see myself living with...the Kelly. My inner Friedman fan is screaming for it. Too bad I was planning on getting a 4th gen iPad for college, otherwise I might like to try it out.

wait, unfinished neck? i did not know that. if in 1 mth you're still gassin, maybe you should purchase.

Unpainted, not unfinished. If it were Japanese or US made, I'd say unpainted usually means oiled. Since it's made in India, I'd guess it's just satin finished (I hope).

Yeah, I'd consider getting an iPad mini with no data instead of the full sized one with data and get a nice shredstick with the difference. I've recently started playing again, so this might just be a worthwhile treat. We'll see.

Yep ... got a little gassy for the matte black one when they initially posted it.

Alas, as a former Kelly owner, I know that I can't go back there. I look a little to silly with one these days. But damn I miss the comfort.

Just get the guitar you know you want it :) or at least i would if my wife wouldnt kill me in my sleep if i bought another guitar..

While that's very tempting, the flame looks really un-figured in one of the pictures on The Music Zoo website, which would lead me to being cautious about buying sight unseen...
