Wow, strat with single coils sounds awesome through big metal rig!

I never expected a strat to sound that great through a heavy rig like my ENGL, but that new warmoth strat i got with the dimarzio virtual vintage solo (bridge) and blues (middle and neck) pickups sounds fantastic! Granted the bridge doesnt sound as great as a chunky bucker, but its got a cool slightly more open sound to it and the neck coil just sounds plain amazing!!! Great for distorted stuff!

Also the cleans sound terrific But yeah, didnt expect a strat to handle high gain as well as buckers...but they sound awesome too! Not better, just different....but definitely awesome


PS. Of course it could have something to do with the dimarzio's too

Welcome to the club! My DiMarzio Blue Velvets and HS-2 scream with distortion/overdrive. I prefer that tone over humbuckers, it's just so sweet!
