I am on the look out for two body/neck combos. I would take full guitars but am on a tight budget.
What I want are a 70's era Jazz Bass and Telecaster. In a perfect world I would love to buy necks and bodies that were built together, but I would entertain parts from the same era. So, a 73 jazz neck on a 76 jazz body would be OK.
My goal is to build two players, so I do not need (nor can I afford) museum quality. I am fine with refins, but would like to stay away from anything with too much routing done to it. A hum route in a tele neck position is fine but no P routes on a Jazz.
I am not a luither so straight neck is a requirement. While I would prefer frets with life left in them, I would not shy away from necks needing refrets.
I am not exactly sure what my budget is, but I will entertain any offers from board participants. If anyone is interested, I have a 92 100% stock USA Jazz Bass Plus that I would gladly use as trade bait.
Again, I am fine buying entire guitars or your half finished projects. Any bodies with working hardware would be fine too.
