WTB Basswood or mahogany (anything but agathis) Ibanez RG style body

As the title says. I'm looking for a body that will fit the offset Ibanez neck bolt pattern of the late 90's RG-120. Love the neck, the body not so much. Anyone have a body that will fit for sale in any wood other than agathis? Don't even care if it's a hideous color or otherwise bad finish.

Would an RG1570 body work? I have one custom painted in black with white binding and F holes painted on it, done by Sims Custom Shop

I don't know. I'll have to take a photo of the neck pocket and post it up. The issue being that the bolt pattern is asymmetrical and bodies with a standard neck pocket won't fit the neck.

Is it the AANJ pocket? I have an unfinished mahogany RG body I should probably give up on...

Ok, here is a shot of the screw pattern for the neck. I really like the neck, it's why I bought the guitar. I figured that I could pay more just for the neck by itself, so the guitar was worth it for all the rest of the hardware being included. I tolerate the (agathis) body.

Ignore the date stamp. My camera resets every time I take the chip out, and I obviously forgot to reset it from the last time it did so.

It's due to arrive tomorrow. It might take a bit as this is a busy month for me and I may refinish it. But I'll keep you posted.

It's here. Still thinking about stripping it down and finishing it with tung oil. The body has a nice ring to it. Can't wait to perform surgery. After I move 4 tons of stone.

I'm thinking of leaving the black around the sides to match with the headstock on the neck that I plan to attach, and going with some sort of oil finish on the exposed wood.

Use Tru Oil.

Get a black bridge too. Pretty sure this is the one I was using on hardtail RGs:

Looks good, but I'll be putting black Graph Tech saddles on and if I keep the chrome bridge it will match up with the chrome tuners while the saddles will go with the black knobs that I have.
I'll definitely try the Tru Oil though, where do they sell it? Lowes or Home Depot?

I've been working on putting a nice satin finish on it. As much as I wanted to try Tru-Oil, I've gone with Min wax Wipe on Poly due to ease of availability. 5 coats on and maybe three more to go before I wet sand it. I'll post some pics when it's done.

Well, this is what it looks like after five coats and sandings with 220 grit. I plan on putting on three more coats before wet sanding with 1000 to 3000 auto paper.
