Hey, I am looking for a 2002 US made Fender Tele in close to original shape in a decent case.

Hoping I can find something for about $600 - $650 shipped to me in Wisconsin.

I drive to IL, MN (and sometimes IA) for work and could arrange cash pick up for right axe.

If you have anything, let me know.

bump...

any of my pedals or pick ups are fair game for a trade, and if you are in the IL/IA/MN/WI area, I think I could come get it and pay cash.

Still looking for a birthday year MIA tele for my daughter. If you have one you are ready to part with, let me know.

Just bumping this up.

Looking for a 2002 MIA guitar for my daughter. I can be bit more aggressive on price if you have something nice, but I am really looking for a player so as long as the wood is original and the hardware is mostly there, I will probably jump.

IMO, the chances of finding a really clean 2002 Fender H1 guitar are pretty slim. The nitro finish is notorious for wearing down just from normal, mildly enthusiastic use. When the finish on a specific H1 guitar is not worn, you have to wonder why that guitar was not getting played.

After fourteen months, maybe the time has come to widen your search to include the Fender Am Std Tele and G&L ASAT models?

Aww shucks, I would gladly open up the search. Important to me is just US made tele and 2002. I love G&L and have a classic myself, but I think I would prefer a fender tele for this.

Thanks for the reply.

These may be obvious suggestions but have you also been watching ebay, Craigslist, and the tele-talk forum?

Great suggestions. I am good on ebay and craigslist, but I have not been checking tele-talk.

You know, there is just something so nice about doing deals with people here. I have never been fooled, or screwed with.

This place is so nice for doing buys and sells because it seems everyone is a stand up person.

Jim, I don't know if I'm good means you are checking, or if you mean that you would rather not deal with those sites. I see you are from Wisconsin. I'm from New England and a regional phrase around here is "I'm all set with that" or "I'm good with that" Meaning I'm staying away from that. But if that is what you meant I just wanted to say I have found amazing deals on both sites. You just need to do your homework, to avoid scammers and cheaters. I bought my pride and joy, a Custom Shop Robert Cray Strat for $800 off an ad in the back of an auto trader thing you get in a gas station. Deals are out there if you are willing to do the work to hunt around. I am currently building a sweet Partscaster with stuff gathered off of ebay. I got virtually everything used, and at prices well below their costs new. I know I could have saved money if I was more patient and waited for better deals with some stuff. But I had the money, and I was at the point where I wanted the parts sooner rather than later. I guess my point is don't overlook any source. What you seek is out there. You just have to be in the right place at the right time.
