WTB: dead/cheap Gibson humbucker for keeper bar and spacers to mod my 500T...

Have a 500T and want to put in a regular sized mag and get rid of the side mags as well. So looking for a proper spaced keeper bar and spacers and thought buying a dead Gibson pickup to donate parts might be the best way.

Or if anybody has a keeper bar and spacers laying around, let me know.

Thanks.

I am doing the same thing.

Don't buy 50mm keeper. It is too small. And don't buy a 53mm keeper. It is too big. You need 52mm, and Addiction-FX has them (and will probably give one to you for free with a magnet purchase).

For the spacers, you can just cut some wood, or also get them from Addiction-FX. I got mine at Mojo because I was placing an order anyhow. They were $1.50 a piece. Kind of pricey for a teeny piece of maple, but it saved me the time of cutting one.

I just got in a 500T/496R and I'm in the same boat. If A2s will put me somewhere close to CC territory, that's what I wanna do. The CC in my Burny owns, hard. I found the keeper bars from Addiction-FX but they only sell them as part of a nickel-silver baseplate deal, none of which I need, at the moment, though a nickel silver baseplate on a Super D might be a cool idea...

I think I like the sound of that.
