WTB EMG 81's

Looking for a couple EMG81's (I will consider an 85 but more after 81's) but they NEED to be the old style solder type. I cant pass the quick connects through the body of this guitar and im not willing to drill it out so they can pass. If you have pots, jack, battery clip etc thats a plus but not necessary. You dont even have to ship to EU just to Idaho and I will have them forewarded to me.

Why cant you just pass the wire side then solder once its in in the cavity or to the pots? That's what you would be doing with the solder type anyways.

Ohh maybe you mean that you just dont want the 100% solderless kit. But even with that you can just cut or take the clips off.

Its a no go. This guitar has very shallow direct mount pickup routs. Pickups that have feet that extend below the baseplate or long screws will not fit. The solderless EMG's have the wires on the opposite side of the solder ones. I cant run the wires below the pickup they wont fit... I even tried flipping the pickups around but the kink in the wires wont let the pickups sit into the routs.

I dont want to rout the guitar I want any mods to be non permanent. Even then its just easier to find a set of old style 81's than routing and gutting the guitar.

I recently traded an 81/89 hardwired set to dominus. He'll probably sell them if he hasn't already.
