WTB: Humbuckers, and a few random parts

Almost Never

New member
Alright, so, first and foremost, I am in need of a few humbuckers. Between here, Ebay, and Harmony Central, I've never paid over 35 bucks for a pickup before (and I only ever buy humbuckers and singlecoil-sized humbuckers). I need a few pickups, most importantly a pickup for a mahogany, LP-style guitar (not arch top, no maple cap). Somewhat hot to hot in output. I could also use a few other random humbucker-sized pickups.

Over the years, I've obtained a good many humbuckers for under 35 bucks, including:

Super Distortions (what I'd like most)
Gibson 500T (****ing AWESOME, I'd kill for another one at a good price)
Duncan JB (like it, but already have one, would probably settle)
EMG 81 (wouldn't mind one, I suppose)
Tone Zone (liked it a good bit)
Hot Rails (irrelevant in this situation)

I would also be willing to try a humbucker-sized P-90, as well, if the price was right. Yes, GFS stuff if perfectly acceptable, but no random stock pickups out of low-end Ibanez and Washburn guitars or anything like that.

I could also use a few random assorted parts, including:

- LP switch tip
- Pending the seller doesn't find it, a black TOM to fit an LTD EC
- Parker Fly Deluxe tremolo "springs," any string guage
- Three knobs (any kind, really, except for strat knobs)
- the back section of an old Kahler (where the springs hold onto, not sure of one from a standard trem will fit?)
- 3/3 tuners to fit this, cast in sets (like shown) or individual per tuner (like a Gibson or most other 3/3 solidbodies):

- Jackson and Peavey Tracer neck plates and neck screws
- If at all possible, a Peavey Tracer body

This list is pretty hodge-podge, and I apologize for that.

The humbuckers are first and foremost, along with the TOM, the rest I've been looking for for a while. Anyone? Please?

Wow, with a line like "I've never paid more than $35 for a pickup" then listing a bunch of them that routinely pull in $45 at the least, I can't believe people aren't lined up around the block trying to give them to you.

No offense, but save that kind of stuff for pawn shops and Guitar Center.

Good call. I was going to post a biatch slap of sorts too but, you beat me to it.

A big +1 for you bro!

$45 is a bargain usually. With the recent price hike of Duncans, $55 is nearly the going rate for most of them these days.

$35, why dont you start asking people to give stuff away while you are at it. :smack:

If you don't like a listing... Why respond? Why not just let others go about their business? That's what adults would do. I've gotten responses already, obviously they didn't mind. Made the same post at HC and got an X2N for 35 for myself and an Invader for 25 for my friend.

I've seen plenty of posts here with prices that I thought were pretty outlandish, but what's the point of try to make a scene? :thanks:

I couldn't have said it better myself. I can't wait to offer my set of Phat cats to him for $35.00 each. Oh wait a minute I think I should lower the price to $60 if I combine them. Thats only fair.

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzz

For ****'s sake, I'm not MAKING anyone offer me ANYTHING.

I just don't WANT offers over what I'm asking. Some just a few days ago sold a brobucker for 35 bucks. I'd wanna hear about that. If you've got a JB for 55, however, I don't. Can I make it any simpler for you kids?

You also said LOL!

I think I was pretty specific.

Stop acting like a bunch of children and stay on topic. I've contacted a mod to clean this post up to put it back on track.

I've found myself a Super, an X2N, and an Invader for 35 each, so that's taken care of. Please refer to the parts list for the other items I need. Thank you.

Re: WTB: Humbuckers, and a few random parts

I've got a brand spankin new 500T sitting in my explorer that I bought 2 weeks ago, its a little too boomy and hot for what im looking for.

Re: WTB: Humbuckers, and a few random parts

I have a gold covered Duncan designed HB-103 bridge.

$30 shipped.

I have 3 brand new amber speed knobs like you see on some LP's. Still in the Packaging. I had to buy a set of 4 because I couldnt find a single and all I needed was 1 so, 3 are still packaged. They are made by epiphpone as a direct replacement part in epi packaging. $10 shipped or, if you want the HB-103 and the knobs, I will throw them in for $5.

I have a N/M Hot rail in black too.
