WTB: nice overdrive for less than 120USD.

Yeaaha it seems like a long shot but I'm a student and currently job less so this is the best I could afford.

I don't like TS so please no TS clones. TS circuits that sound different are fine. I also have a crunchbox and a Plexitone on the way so no marshall sounds... I really do want a harmonically rich breakup/low gain sound... Something I can stack with a drive channel for a 'wow' factor or used on a clean channel for a nice break up tone.


Things like AC/RC/BB by Xotic or a MI Audio Blues pro or deluxe maybe? A Timmy would be AMAZING but way out of my budget and I can't order nez... but something along these lines basically.


I live in Europe, in the Netherlands right now.


So far in my board I have a Crunch box, route 66, Big Muff, Bad Monkey and my amp is EL84 powered, a Laney VC15.

For $120 new, try out a Barber Silver LTD.... sounds exactly what you're looking for. No mid-hump-y tubescreamer sound. Flat mids, great bass, detailed chimy treble. Great pedal.
