I have another Duncan with a faulty coil so need a coil (must be screw, I just realised this would work PERFECTLY in my Les Paul but I have a nickel cover on the way so need a SCREW coil to fit the cover).
Anything decent would do me, from PAF types to higher output ones like the JB or Custom.
Any colour!

EDIT - thinking about this - I have a couple of SH spaced JBJs in guitars. I could take one of them out and use that in my Les Paul, so I suppose I can make a hybrid out of ANY good quality coil, be it slug, hex, screw or whatever. So...I would ideally like a SH spaced screw coil, but I will take whatever ya got.

Poorman? I will look him up. Nice LP there, I have the same one, I put cream plastics on it and cream Super D/PAF ;)

Re: WTB one coil to repair a humbucker

Ok, I'm still looking for a coil to repair this thing.

Re: WTB one coil to repair a humbucker

Varg,

I have a black, slug coil. I honestly don't remember what brand it is though. It looks virtually new. If you're interested, PM me with an offer. (ConUS only.)

Re: WTB one coil to repair a humbucker

I have another Duncan with a faulty coil so need a coil (preferably screw but slug is cool) to repair it rather than just tossing it out.
Anything decent would do me, from PAF types to higher output ones like the JB or Custom. Doesnt have to be Duncan either, DiMarzio, Gibson, whatever, just so I can make a good workable pickup again.
Any colour!

contact forum bro INDYSG he had a broken 59 that had one working coil:naughty:

Re: WTB one coil to repair a humbucker

Sorry, I never realised people had replied to this - Im in the UK Martian.

I will look for INDYSG thanks Ed! :)

Re: WTB one coil to repair a humbucker

I still need one of these. I only just realised Im looking for a pickup to use in my Gibson that will fit the nickel cover I just bought from a forum bro, and this would be IDEAL. Someone help me out with a normal SH spaced screw coil!

Too late I'm afraid....
Mark Cearlock took my working coil from a half dead 59n and made a hybrid with a half dead Gibson 490. It works fine btw, Thanks Mark!
I could let you have a far eastern pup to fool around with and make a hybrid if you want to pay for the postage?

Re: WTB one coil to repair a humbucker

Thats okay thanks though I appreciate it, I actually have a Wilkinson pup and some old double hex pole thing I thought of trying, but I'd rather make something really good if I want to put it in my Gibby. :)

Re: WTB one coil to repair a humbucker

I have screws in Wilkinson and Epiphone pickups if they work?

Re: WTB one coil to repair a humbucker

Gah, no good its to fit into an SH sized cover. I'll maybe just get rid of this coil, its been a pain in the arse

Re: WTB one coil to repair a humbucker

Let it rewind. If you are in the UK check, the Creamery, RockMonkey or BareKnuckles for that.

Re: WTB one coil to repair a humbucker

Armin, do you mean rewind the other, broken, coil? I think I threw it in the bin when Izzo sent me his 490R coil and I got this going again (that coil somehow broke too, I suck at this).
