have you checked out Musicians Friend? don't know about today, but earlier this week they were selling nickel-covered Alt-8s for $64 with free shipping on orders over $25. that's a smoking deal. if you don't like the nickel, take it off, clean up anything on the top of the bobbins and you're good.
