Ignore the WTB part, this is all stuff for sale

Update 1/21/09:
Mercer box sold
Strabro 90 sold
Both rails pickups on hold pending payment

Also, I decided I want to raise some funds to buy fenderfan79's red strat. I figure if I can raise the funds in time, great. If I can't, then I'll have a couple hundred bucks I can put down into a C/D for a project guitar sometime in the future. Anyway, here's the stuff for sale:

F-spaced VHPAF/Custom hybrid (actually the vhpaf coil is a custom wind by jon moore at www.tonefordays.com) I have two of them, one is pictured here in my strat, and has A2. The other has A5. The A2 one is pictured here in my strat, I'm looking for $65 each shipped:

Also up for sale is an MXR double shot distortion, with 18v power supply included, $75 shipped OBO:

Lastly, I have a red 89 MIK squier strat that I got in a trade, completely stock. If you want a near mint 20 year old guitar rife with mojo, this is it. Frets have some wear, but there's plenty of metal if you want to get it crowned and polished. So I've had some more time to play around with it right now and give a good review: The saddles need adjustment, right now the string spacing feels off when I play fingerstyle near the bridge. The body is about as loud as my american made strat, I took the neck out to see what it was made out of, and from what I can tell, it appears to be plywood, which stunned the heck out of me. The neck is medium thin c-shape, and the poly on the neck is really slick, even for a guy with greasy hands like myself (I noticed the same thing with my '85 kramer). There aren't any protruding fret ends from what I can tell, and the pickups are great considering the fact that it's a squier. If you have any questions, just holla at me and I'll do my best to answer them expediently.

I'm looking for $200 for this one, but it's with me in prague right now, so I really only feel comfortable shipping across europe for the time being. If you're really interested in this but live in the states, then you're going to have to wait 2-3 months for the semester to be over before it'll be back home.

Re: WTB/ Tons (& tons)of Stuff for sale

A few notes:

The volume knob on the squier has a crack.
The hybrids for sale are a bit different:

In the strat, there are dimarzio 'air' spacers on the treble side of the 'screw' coil and on the bass side of the 'slug' coil. This is similar to frank falbo's half-air mod, and tightens the bass and sweetens the treble. Also, the one in the strat has two screw coils to accommodate this mod. The "VHPAF" coils are unpotted, the custom coils are potted as per usual on duncan pickups. This is one of the most open pickups I've heard in a strat, and this and the p-rails are really the only humbuckers I like in the bridge. Also, the A2 in it is degaussed for more 'chew' and more even response.

The one that isn't in a guitar currently is pretty much a standard hybrid, custom slug coil, and "VHPAF" screw coil. A5. I had this in my jazzmaster project before I got the p-rails in there, and it doesn't really sound like any other humbucker I've heard. It's got the definition and harmonic complexity of a single coil, but the output of a humbucker. There's some p-90-ish stuff happening in the midrange too. Kind of hard to describe, but safe to say I prefer it over just about any other bridge pickup I've ever tried.

The neck comes with wilkinson tuners, these have 2 holes so you can tighten them with fewer wraps, supposed to hold tune the same as locking tuners. I had this neck on my epiphone les paul II for a while, and I didn't have any tuning problems, but that's not saying much considering that it's a fixed bridge guitar. It also has a graphite nut. Overall, it would be a good neck for a guitar with a tremolo.

Okay, so I'm lazy and didn't put the red strat on ebay yet, but that's because my other auctions are doing poorly, so I figure I'll keep this stuff for sale on here, because:
1. It's free
2. I'd rather sell it to fellow forum members
3. I'm not obligated to sell it to the lowest bidder

so, bumpity bumpity bump.

Re: WTB/ Tons (& tons)of Stuff for sale

bump

The cool rails is still available, vintage rails is sold pending payment

The snakeskin pickguard didn't sell on ebay, so it's available again. - $100 shipped

Both of the hybrids are still available - $60 a piece or $110 for the pair

I now also have an APH-2 for the neck position for sale - $55 shipped

That should do it for now, I'd like to add that I'll entertain reasonable offers.

Re: WTB/ Tons (& tons)of Stuff for sale

I'm in prague right now, so while I'm still selling the stuff, expect a slight delay while I contact my parents with instructions on shipping and selling, etc.

bump fellas, I just got a PM from fenderfan and he still has my baby, please buy this stuff so I can have a gorgeous redhead waiting for me back home!
