WTB: Weber Mini Mass

Re: WTB: Weber Mini Mass

Andrew,
On the cheap search ebay for an old Altair PW-5 those wern't too bad and can be had pretty cheap.
There chief problem was that the resistors would blow under a cranked 100W head and send the volume seering to unattenuated levels mid song. But under a 50W head or less they work good.
Then you can really get into NOS tubes no get nice and hot.

Re: WTB: Weber Mini Mass

I ordered mine directly from Weber - 25 watt MiniMASS with a Line Out, and it was $75 + $14 s&h, so it was delivered to my door for $89.

It doesn't get much cheaper than that --- with a real attenuator.

You could get resistive "attenuators" on eBay all day long for cheap, but nothing is going to sound and feel like a Weber with a speaker motor.

Good luck!

I was just trying to get it as cheap as I could and I wasn't in a rush. I've seen them go for $50. I'll probably buy a new one if one doesn't pop up in a week or so...

Cool - just wanted to make sure you didn't get swindled by a retailer markup.

Cheers!
