Does anyone have a yamaha magicstomp that they don't use anymore?

I'm looking for one and am willing to pay good money for it, as long as it's in good working condition... version 1, 2, bass, acoustic... doesn't matter... i'll take any of em.

Pls PM me if ya got one :)

Thanks.

My friend got one of the new version ones at the same time I did. I don't think he's crazy about his, although I like mine. Let me ask him if he's interested in letting it go.

Re: WTB: Yamaha MagicStomp

Ok, he says he would take $80 USD for it plus shipping to Canada. I can vouch for the fact that it's literally like new and he has all the box and info that came with it.

And just so you know, he paid $80 for it on sale at MF not too long ago. But he'd sell it if he got his money back.

Edit: Its the version II, just like mine. I believe that means that it includes the normal version plus the acoustic and bass versions and it has the headphone jack. I can't really remember all that V.2 means, but I'll post back if I remember or find it.

Re: WTB: Yamaha MagicStomp

Thanks for the update, Artie...
But I already picked up the one that Scott (above) offered me.

Yeah i know they were $80 when they were blowing them out... i also got one at that time. I'm just looking to get a second one for more versatility.

Both version 1 and version 2 have the same hardware (with the exception of the headphone jack). The version 1 can be firmware upgraded to version 2 to have the same functionality.

Since you have a magicstomp also, tell your friend to
check out the yahoo group magicstomppro.
It's a new group, made a couple months ago... not the old magicstomp group that is dead.

This new one is the one responsible for the magicstomp's 'resurrection', becuse there is one guy who "unlocked the secret" (imho) to getting great sounds out of the magicstomp.
Definitely check out his patches, and maybe your friend will never want to get rid of the stomp.

If he still wants to sell it, he can get a profit for it on ebay these days.

Thanks,
Erik

Re: WTB: Yamaha MagicStomp

Great info. Thanks Erik. I'll check out that user group myself. I use mine exclusively on the "plate reverb" setting to take the place of the pathetic spring reverb in my H & K amp. (The rest of the amp is great.)

I'm keen to see what else this thing might be able to do.
