WTF Line 6 MM4 tone & volume drain?

Just got one of these to spare my boutique pedals and man, does this thing suck tone and volume. It is so bad, I am trying to giving the benefit of the doubt, considering, that many famous professionals use this, but SH@#$!

Did I get a bad one? I'm leaning on the fact it sucks, cause I've gots lots of good pedals (old analog pedals of from about 15 years worth) where at least i DONT HAVE TO DEAL WITH A HUGE VOLUME LOSS!!

Yeah, that thing I thought sucks. When I bought one years ago from G.C., the sales guy was like 'this is the best thing!'. When I brought it back about a week later, I complained about a slight volume drop and a 'high fi' sound that happened. He said he has never heard that before and that I should have just tweaked my knobs... nah. I returned it and got a deluxe memory man. THAT thing is cool!

The quality of the effects are good, but you're right, there is a slight volume drop and tone suck going on with it. I used to have one and while it was really versatile and great for cover gigs that problem always did bug me.

The good news is that Robert Keeley will mod MM4's (and I think DL4's as well) to fix that problem. Although with his recent shop fire I don't think he'll be back up and running for a few months.
