Alrighty, so I recently put together a 5E3 Deluxe clone & I absolutely love it but I’ve hit a bit of a snag. When I originally built it I used a 8ohm speaker that I just had laying around thinking I’d just get something better to put in it later. So later came & I decided to try what’s always been my favorite speaker, a UK MADE 75W H magnet Creamback.
So the speaker arrived today & I tried putting it in but quickly realized that I was going to have an issue with the new speaker & the clearance of my 6V6’s. This really sucks because it’s literally 1/4in off but off nonetheless so I’m kinda hoping someone has a 65W M magnet Creamback (8ohms) that they’d like to trade? I’d also consider other 12in 8ohm drivers but I’d like something that’s at least 30W & preferably made by Celestion UK, although that is by no means a dealbreaker....
For anyone wondering the difference between the two Creamback speakers 75W’s have a much better bass response IMHO & they’re just fuller sounding in general. It’s also been my experience that they are also a far better choice a 1x12 single speaker setup...
Please just let me know if you want some pictures, the speaker is in near perfect condition, I’d say a 9.75 out of 10 & also please contact me here or at my email ( rhigh80@hotmail.com ) with any other questions, other speaker trade offers, Etc...
