WTT: Goldtone Paul Beard Resonator (Dobro)

Hi,

I picked this guitar up at the NAMM show in Anaheim earlier this year, it's a wonderful sounding resonator acoustic. The top, back and neck are solid mahogany, maple wood binding, maple soundwell, sides are ply, fingerboard is ebony with nicely inlaid perloid snowflakes as fret markers. Round neck of course (being a cutaway model). The spider and cone are manufactured by the Paul Beard company (same as those used on his resonators) and everything is assembled here in the US. The workmanship is stellar, the sound is as good as a resonator gets. I added a Lace Sensor humbucking pickup, no mods to the cone. I had to file down the sound hole covers and drill a hole for the endpin connector. The pickup can be removed easily if not wanted, but it sounds pretty **** good. The guitar is very easy to play, it can be fingerpicked easily and of course sounds great with a slide. No changes to the action, it's set up exactly as it came from the factory. The guitar has a few minor little finish dings, they were there when I bought it, you have to hunt to find them, nothing penetrating the surface finish. Great sounding and playing guitar, comes with the TKL case. What I'm looking for is a trade for something like this: G&L Legacy or USA Fender Strats (clapton or standard), G&L Bluesboy, Edwards Les Paul, or?? These guitars sell new for about a grand with the case depending on the dealer you look up, the lace sensor pickup was another $130. These are pretty new so you don't see many of them on the used market, but I put the used value around $800. Depending on the trade offer I'm willing to either throw in some cash or will ask for some cash in the deal. I would really like to find someone in Southern California with a trade offer, I will ship but that leads to another set of requirements (must have good references, I will supply mine). Not interested in selling it right now, just looking for a local trade.
