Here's what I've currently inside of my Start:
David Allen Custom Shop JM 60s Rock & Blues Set
The CS JM60’s RocknBlues bring back that classic 1960’s tone with a hotter bridge for when you want to push the gain up. These will create that scooped mid-range effect well and have a nice balance.
DC Resistance :Neck 6.22 k , Middle 6.35 k , Bridge 6.8k
Middle Reverse wound for hum canceling
Alnico magnets mixed, 42 GA wire , gray flat work
These are based on the John Mayer black strat tone. They also nail the Frusciante tone pretty damn well. I'm looking for something a little warmer and maybe even a little hotter -i.e. Texas Specials, etc. (Something Alnico II variety probably). If you've got anything you'd like to trade for these, swap set for set, let me know.
