WWYD? Repair shop vandalism.

I had my jubilee in since early July and I just got it back yesterday. The amp was completely fvcked up to my surprise. But the butterfinger handling my amp chassis dropped it and it's dented on the front and back right side.

I'm happy the amp sounds great but I'm also pissed about the 1/4" gap between the chassis and the box in the front caused by the careless dents.

First sorry to hear about your amp, love my Jube

Secondly, Id bring it to their attention asap, see if they make it right, secondly Id necer return to that shop again. If they are breaking your amp and not telling you, what other unscruplious things are they doing

Cardinal rule of charging people for working on anything: Do not return it worse than you found it.

Definitely ask for a refund if the damages are even close to the cost of the work you had done, but the details are between you and the shop.

It's no wonder why this is the only Marshall that crapped out on me. The fucking tube sockets and pots are direct soldered to the fucking PC board.

Flying leads was just too fucking expensive. Let the fuc8ng customer decide. I'd pay $1000 more for flying leads. Now I'm afraid to change the tubes.

i agree that tubes wired to the board is crappy design and 100% due to cost cutting. that said, i have a few modern amps like this and i havent had an issue swapping tubes

All of this would be easy if the amp didn't sound so damn good. One of those is at the top of my amp list even though my Mesa handles that sound and more.

Question: How did you not notice when you accepted the amp after service? Did you play the amp there?

I am on board with
1. Take the amp back to the shop
2. Show them the problem and ask them what they have to say about it.

If they say "I am soooo sorry!!!!! I didn't know that happened or who did that, but we'll take care of it" or "What can we do to make that right?" pass (but not perfect). Ask for a refund, and, if the amp works, I wouldn't mess with it.

If they just wait for you to do something, then...

Tell them that 1. You expect them to pay for it to be fixed and that 2. You will not have them fix it because they did it in thew first place and didn't tell me.

If they do that, call it even, but don't go back again.

However...if they do none of those things, well, social media, friends, etc...

Document everything that goes down regarding this.

When I picked up the amp from the shoo it was boxed up. When I got home and took it out of the box I noticed the dent on the metal chassis rear lower right corner.

Then when I played the amp and looked at it straight on did I notice the warp in the lower right corner. The mirror finish really accentuates it.

I spoke with the manager and sent pics. I'll call now.
