X2n or D-activators, which in Xiphos?

Well i got rid of SG standard and bought a Xiphos.

Funny thing is that on the Ibanez website it says that the Xiphos comes with X2n's.

If they are indeed the D- activators they don't sound too bad, but i did change the pots to 300k's due to the pots being too hard to turn. I would've put 250k's in if i a had them handy. Tammed the highs a bit more.

i should've pulled them out when i did the string gauge setup after buying.

There site says X2n's and all other sites( retail) say there d- activators?

What do you mean by "their" site?

Both the official USA site as well as the official Greek (where I'm from) site say the XPT700 has the D-activators.

In any case there's no chance in hell you can mistake the D-activators for the X2N, one has 6+6 pole pieces the other two blades.

D-activators for sure. It's very rare for a guitar company to come stock with X2N's.

Re: X2n or D-activators, which in Xiphos?

There isn't even an X2N Neck so a stock set of X2Ns would be horribly unbalanced because of using two bridge pups. The Xyphos has D-Activators for sure. All i played had them and the ibanez websie states that they are in there.
But imo there are better pup combos since the d-activators are really lacking when it comes to character.

By Xiphos you mean the XPT700, right?

Because both our local and the US site says it has the D-Activators...

I tried the XPT700 the other day beacause I wanted to try those D-activator .

The bridge is fine , punchy and clear , quite powerfull .
The neck seems much less powerfull , kind of bland , but this could just be fine . (short test )

I noticed a very good sustain on this guitar .
But less overall volume and tone than my Ibanez Roadstar RS530 with blocked trem , Demon 8 in bridge and Demon 5 in neck .

Not too unbalanced if you're a metal player.

The neck is pretty sweet! I love the thinness of Ibanez necks. But nothing can compare to a Prestige neck. I want one so bad!!
