XPND Pedal Power Battery Kit

Wattage

Just picked it up and got the board rewired. My buddy has been using it and says it is fantastic and I would be happy to have fewer cables running around.

The daisy chain plugs can be adjusted to be wherever you want them so you can neaten everything up as well.

First gig with it Saturday, we'll see how it goes

What is it? A rechargable battery power supply that runs all pedals off a daisy chain?
Like a lithium battery?
Probably eliminates any chance of noise.

yep, thats basically it. there is a separate unit that can be used to eliminate hum if you use digital and analog pedals and there are issues

Cool.....ofcourse judging by my track record of....."sure my phone has enough charge"....i prolly better stick to a wall plug.lol

it comes with a usb c wall charger too, so you can use the battery (which has a level display) then switch to wall power if needed. or keep a second battery charged.
Honestly, I'm more excited about the movable plugs. Tighter, cleaner pedalboard layouts are just better.
Both of these are fantastic ideas. I love the battery idea with the meter, and the movable plugs, which makes the wiring much neater. This is an area in pedalboard design that has needed an upgrade for a long, long time.

I finally need to start considering a real pedal board, and this one checks all the boxes except isolation. My NPN pedals would not be happy

i run my germanium fuzz pedals on batteries, but i know what ya mean. i think a germanium fuzzface sounds best with a crappy dollar store 9v, or at least my nkt sunface does.

they say you can run center + pedals with this by flipping the jack (red side of the jack to black cable) with this thing.

Yea those dollar store batteries and most heavy duty batterys are zinc batteries. Closer to what was around in the 60s vs modern Alkaline like Duracell and the Bunny.

The problem isn't center negative versus center positive, it's that the pedal I'm concerned with has a +9v ground. Any pedals get daisy chained with it and they short eachother.

One of my hot takes is that voltage sag makes most fuzz pedals sound worse. Sure they feel better to play, but I don't care for the spongey sound
