Ok so I have a Yamaha AES 620 with JB/APH-1 fitted in but the pots are getting very scratchy and will cut out when turned certain positions. What should be done about this? If new pots need to be put in for it also what do you reccomend i get to replace the scratchy pots? (prefer to buy online and ship to canada) Also i cant really get a look at the pots as i unscrew the screws in the back plate covering the pots but i cant seem to get the plate off the back to take a look at the pots inside.
-Input will be appreciated.

Re: Yamaha AES Tone/Volume Pots

One of the cheapest, easiest, and best, things to do, is get some Caig Labs Deoxit, (available at Radio Shack), and squirt some into the pots. This assumes that you can get to the backs of the pots.

Just do a quick "squirt". This isn't like contact cleaner that will evaporate away. This is mineral oil based and will stay on the inside. A little dab'll do ya.

Then twist the pots back and forth several times. That should fix it.
