I love that axe. I grew up seeing that in adds in guitar mags. I wish I had the $$$$ for it.

I just read a review that says it has a big neck profile on it like a Gibson or a Boatneck. This is really killing me!

MAN!!! I want that!!!
Those (as well as the Samick) did have a kind of beefy neck on them but those Yamahas were very well made nd the plaid finish is just over the top!!

What were the solid color non-Blues Saraceno versions of this Yamaha called? I think it is the RGX-820R or something similar. Why were these things discontinued? Seems like these would be some of the better quality Yamahas and would have been better competition to Ibanez back then in the mid 90's than what Yamaha replaced these rare guitars with. Anyone with a history on the BS guitar as well as the stock RGX version? Like how many were made and what years these particular shaped ones with this type headstock?

Just to add I remember I missed out on a red Yamaha like this Blues Saraceno model on Music-Go-Round and I think it was sitting in their inventory for a while @ $250. I saw it there for a month so I figured I'd wait and maybe bargain them down a bit, but then I checked and the page was gone :-(

I hate it when I am a thread killer. Sometimes I wait to find the right thread that has some relation to my question but boom I kill the thread. No matter what forum or topic I have a good % of killing a thread. What really sucks is that usually it is interesting questions regarding rare or little known info about said item or topic in which it comes across like I know the most about it and I am the one asking further questions for more knowledge lol.
