Yamaha Pacifica 1230S Super Tele Thoughts?

Saw this on that auction site and despite being disqualified from bidding on it this time always been mildly wanting one. Any reviews/thoughts/praise/hate for this guitar or any of the shredder Yamahas of the last millenium?

Wish I could. Stupid landlocked sellers with their "lower 48" bull crap policies when it usually costs about the same to ship to all 50. Just had to vent my excitement turned to disappointment until a better seller lists theirs.

It's like meeting a hot girl who goes and says something lame like "I only go out with (insert race or something here) guys" or something like that.

I've played a few Yamaha's, and while I can't comment on that one, the nicer ones I have experience with played very well.

There is a Yamaha Tele copy here locally that I have come very close to buying on 2 seperate occasions. It's a nice guitar. The neck and body are both by Warmoth for Yamaha. SSH config.

Yamaha makes good, consistent guitars. They're fretwork is usually great and harware is buttoned down well. As long as its a good, resonant piece of wood, Yamaha will make it into a quality axe.
