Well I am a little late on posting this since I have already made my first payment on the guitar, but I still wouldn't mind people's opinions.
I am buying a Used Yamaha Pacifica USA1. It's kinda of a "tele" style body. Violion Burst.
It is al alder body w/ maple top. The neck is Bird's Eye Maple with Rosewood fretboard. Both the body and neck are by Warmoth. It has a Wilkinson vintage-style trem. It is tight against the body the way I like it. It is set up for some nice vibrato and w/out a lot of play in the tremelo. The tuners are Sperzel Tremlok locking tuners.
The stock pups, SD's, have been replaced with EMG's. The single coils are Alnico SA's. I am pretty certain. The Bridge is a 89, and is coil tapped.
It has single vol/tone controls and a 5 way selection switch.
Personally I love the feel of the guitar. The action was very nice. Perfect to my hands. The neck size was very nice. Pretty thin in comparison to what I am use to playing, but I don't guess quite as thin as say my Ibanez RG.
I tried to give you guyse everything I know about the guitar so I could get as much of an informed opinion as possible.
I am paying $650. Is this a good deal? What do you guys think about these guitars?
This is my first post btw...
I am including a link to Yamaha's website that has the specifications for this model.
