So I stumble across this 1996 MIM Fender Strat (Serial Number MN6244914 ) online for what I could say is a fairly good price for the condition the guitar is in. Basically, after doing a little research, I find out that Fender used Poplar in their bodies instead of alder through that period of time (in most cases, apparently) which is pretty much my concern, besides the neck feeling. This would be my first strat, even though I've played/owned cheap strat-like guitars (the last I played was an actual Fender, American Elite Strat, which I didn't dig due the neck feeling "Modern "C" to "D"" and probably the Noiselss pickups. However I loved the feel in the Fender Cabronita Tele I played in the same store, which I think it has a Modern C-Shape).
So if anyone has a Strat or info from that period of time I'd really appreciate some experiences, information, specs, etc.
