Yet another P-Rail wiring question...

I've used various methods to search for the answer to this and can't find it anywhere.

Here's what I'm after and I have no idea how to go about it.

I've got a G&L Legacy HSS that came with a JB and two G&L single coils. Stock the guitar comes with a coil tap switch (Small ON/ON toggle) already installed and G&L's awesome passive tone setup. I just picked up a P-Rail and I have a couple of mini-switches laying around (both ON/ON and ON/OFF/ON) and what I want to do is this.

I want the mini switch to select either series Humbucking or P-90 and have position 5 on the 5-way be the just that. I want position 4 on the 5-way to be the rail portion of the P-Rail and the center Single and the rest (positions 1-3) I want stock.

Anyone have a clue how to do this?

FWIW I hate Push-Pull pots.

Thanks

Re: Yet another P-Rail wiring question...

I'm not sure if this is possible, and even if it is it'll be very hard. What I'd do would replace the mini-toggle in your guitar with an on/off/on, which can be wired for P90/series/rail, and connect it to the 5-way switch as normal. I know it means more switching for your position 4 "quack", but I can't think of a way of wiring what you want...

Re: Yet another P-Rail wiring question...

I ended up just wiring it up to a ON/OFF/ON switch and it works fine.

Great pickup!
