Hi, guys. Long-time lurker, first-time poster.
I know there's already been a post about this recently, but I'm trying to choose between the Jazz neck and Air Norton (and possibly the APH?).
Currently, I have a '59 neck. I find it to be kind of thin and lacking some of singing, jangly quality that I would like. I'm looking for more warmth, but I want more highs at the same time.
I play early REM, blues, early 80s metal (Metallica, Priest) and country/roots rock. When I play metal, I use the JB in the bridge, which I'm perfectly happy with.
My guitar's an ESP EC 400-AT (Les Paul-style: mahogany, set neck). I use an Ampeg B-100R and a Danelectro Fab Tone for distortion.
I'm afraid the jazz may not have enough bluesy, low-end warmth and the Air Norton may have too much low end through my already-warm amp.
If anyone else has any other suggestions other than the AN, APH, or SH2, I'd like to hear them as well.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
