Yet another pickup ID thread… Fender Humbucker

I've got this Fender Humbucker as a throw-away in a trade I did a few years ago.
I really like it, and want to get my hands on one more of them. But have no idea what type of humbucker it is. Except for Fender logo (kind of spaghetti style) on the back plate there are no way (for me) to identify it. Do any of you pickup gurus know?

Mexifender HSS bridge, 2000's

Round your readings to 1 digit past the decimal to 8.6k (neither factory winders nor cheapo multimeters prove any more accuracy anyway), and readings plus brand usually finds everything with the first google search

ALTHOUGH.... hmmm... other sources suggest it's possibly a Fender USA Diamondback, suggesting the reverb guy above had some kinda Deluxe/FSR with American puckups and didnt realize it

My guess is: Diamondback.

Not a bad pickup; very warm, decent split. I don't think they're as hot as the box thinks below either- Fender seems to think an A2 8.5k humbucker is hot though.

I don't want to sound like a know-it-all, but shouldn't have a Diamond Back a diamond shape on the back?

I think it's some animal metaphor...some badazz american snake or something

Right, it's a snake. It uses the same baseplate as any Fender humbucker.

You can't really identify Fender pickups the same way you can identify Duncans. I've never tried it, so this is just conjecture, but it appears that Fender's design easily facilitates replacing short pickup leads.

It's a lot cleaner to work on overall IMO. Each of the bobbins is wrapped individually too, so you can use a Deluxe Ultra style pickguard that doesn't leave a gap between the coils.

Thanks you guys! Looks like it's a DiamondBack then. Strange they don't mark the pickups any better.
I forgot to mention above: the pickup is wax potted. Does this change any of your opinions?
