You can add me to club "11"

Finally switched to .11-.49 strings. Now I'm wondering why I didn't sooner... I normally played my .10's with the bridge raised way up to tighten things up. Now things are both tight and close to the fretboard..after only a few days of adjusting my fingers, the action and playability is something I MUCH greater preffer. Plus I think the sound is a little stronger / richer.

I use 10s but thought about switching to 9s. My ESP had the strings really close to the fretboard, no buzzing, great playability, but I couldn't bend at all. I raised it up big time. Do you have trouble bending, dude?

No problem bending. THough I don't do any bending over 1 full tone usually. Also, Since I used to have my bridge-piece raised very high, I think I'm used to the extra push you need to give to bend them.

wattage: I can see why. I'll probably be using them exclusively from here on out. Not sure but I'm willing to bet that 12's would be a little much for me.

11s are the best! I don't think I'll get 12s in the LP, 2½ tone bends would become quite impossible...
That said, if I'd get so many guitars that I could use one for rhythm playing/chords/jazz only, it'd certainly have 12s. I don't know though how flatwounds or halfwounds would affect the tension.
